Homeschooling Interview

What made you decide to homeschool your Children?

K: My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, her kindergarten year, and requires a lot of one on one instruction. Also my third daughter was born in May and I wanted to stay home with her.

G: My Mom and Dad are both ill and I needed the time flexibility to take care of them that homeschooling gives me. Christ centered education is our number desire for both of us.


Do you enjoy teaching your kids at home?
K: I Love It!!!!
G: Dido

What would you tell other parents considering the homeschooling option?
K and G: To be prayerful but not over think it. If you feel led to homeschool you probably meant to do it... Just do it


What are your favorite textbook brands?
K: Apologia, A beka , and  Sadlier Oxford
G: I prefer those books as well

What do you like best about homeschooling?
K: Being able to spend time with my children and get to know them in a way that i would have not been able to do if they were at school 8 hours a day.
G: Same viewpoint as K
